That’s not to say that the US doesn’t have its own players; it’s just that the US tends to focus more on developing athletes from other sports like Football, Baseball, and Basketball. But the US does have development programs for hockey too, and even in the hot heart of Texas is Richardson is a sports facility known as the Richardson Stars Center.

This center is a great place for kids to learn hockey, and they can receive professional hockey instruction for as low as $15 per session. There are programs for kids as young as 4 years old, and there is also adult instruction and public skate times available.

As well, the Richardson Stars Center has booking availability for birthday parties, and it only takes a simple Google search to read the many positive reviews about how much the kids loved a hockey-themed birthday party.

If you live or travel to the big cities of Fort Worth and Texas, you aren’t very far from Richardson. Richardson Stars Center is located about 15 miles due north of Dallas and about 41 miles East of Fort Worth.
